What it takes to be a Michelin Star Restaurant

To work with some numbers in 2021 there were 143 3-star Michelin restaurants according to the list.

According to Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, The Michelin Guide will select a number of restaurants and send their anonymous inspectors who will analyze the experience based on some criteria and then get to an agreement on how many stars the establishment should receive. Other Accolades

Since its creation, The Michelin Guide has updated itself by creating more award categories. The first one was the Bib Gourmand in 1955. Its symbol (first a red “R”  that changed in 1997 to a Michelin’s mascot’s face) stands for a reasonable restaurant with good food for a fair price.
